Admin Analytics Dashboard

Real-time traffic, acquisition sources, timeseries trends and conversion funnels.

The VibeKit analytics dashboard at /app/admin/analytics gives you a live control center for tracking user engagement and business health directly from your PostgreSQL database.

Understanding the Core Metric Cards

The top of the dashboard presents 4 primary performance indicators comparing your active date range with the preceding equivalent period:

  • Unique Visitors: Distinct hashed visitors across the timeframe, giving you honest reach without duplicate counts from multiple tabs.
  • Total Pageviews: Total browsing volume across all routes.
  • Average Duration: Time between a visitor's first and last action, showing whether users are actually reading your content.
  • Bounce Rate: Percentage of visits where the user left within 10 seconds without navigating further.

Green and red percentage badges highlight whether your audience is growing or contracting compared to your historical baseline.

Live Traffic & Real-Time Monitoring

The real-time monitor (getRealtime) updates continuously to display active users on your site over the past 5 to 60 minutes:

  • Live visitor headcount across active sessions.
  • Currently active URLs, so you can watch traffic spikes during a product launch or social post.
  • Country-level geographic distribution.
  • Referring domains bringing current traffic.

Building & Analyzing Conversion Funnels

Funnels measure how effectively visitors move through multi-step flows on your site:

  1. Define Sequential Steps: Mix and match URL visits (PAGE), user interactions (EVENT), account registrations (SIGNUP), and billing transactions (PURCHASE).
  2. Visual Drop-Off Bars: Inspect each step to see what percentage of users advance and where the majority abandon the process.
  3. Optimizing Checkout Flows: Use funnel drop-off points to identify whether friction is happening on your pricing page, registration form, or payment modal.

Inspecting Individual Customer Journeys

The visitor inspection tool (getVisitor) lets you drill into individual user sessions:

  • See the full chronological timeline of every page visited and button clicked.
  • Understand the path a user took from their initial Google search or Twitter post all the way to purchasing a subscription.
  • User accounts are automatically linked if the visitor logged in or signed up during the session.

Segmenting Marketing Pages vs. App Workspaces

The Top Pages report includes a scope filter:

  • Public: Filters down to landing pages, blog posts, and public documentation to measure marketing reach.
  • App: Isolates authenticated dashboard routes to track product feature engagement.
  • All: Aggregates all site traffic in one view.

Instructing Your Agent to Add Custom Funnels

Ask your coding agent to set up specific funnels or custom filters:

Add a customer onboarding funnel to my analytics dashboard:
1. Define steps: visit /pricing -> click 'signup' -> visit /app/onboarding -> complete first project.
2. Ensure the funnel appears in /app/admin/analytics.
3. Verify with $verify-changes.
